The end of the school year, the beginning of summer – time to relax a little, and shift the routine. It might be easy to “shift” into another routine instead of following the natural cycles of nature and slowing down and rejuvenating from the inside out.

Summer is a wonderful time to take it a bit easier, have some fun and spend some time looking inside to take stock of what’s in your heart and see what wants to bloom.

We are living in a very different time and energy. The world is a flurry of information, activity and chaos. There is a lot of finger pointing and accusation, strife in our country and worldwide, and a sense of anticipation of ‘something’ happening and maybe it’s not going to be good. But we are not quite sure what it will be, when it will occur or where it will happen.

When you live only on the outside and allow the world’s problems to guide your thoughts and feelings, you may feel lost or scared or angry or sad.

The messages are getting stronger -look inside, now it’s a critical to time to stop and to look inward. It’s the time to expand into more of who you are and allow the light of who you are to shine outward – to help guide the world, even if it is only in your own little part of the world.

The world needs your natural radiant “diamond” light.

You make a difference in the world.

The world needs YOU, not who you think you “should” be.

Years ago, as some of you know, I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Martin Seligman and his colleagues in Vanguard I, the first Authentic Happiness Coaching program. It was six months of total immersion in the art, experience, and science of “happiness”. The information learned in the program impacted, enhanced and changed my life in very profound ways.

It seems to me that right now is a perfect time and is imperative for each of us to find our own personal path to happiness. We won’t find it in the outside man-made world. The gifts lie in the beauty and cycles of nature, and inside ourselves.

Why Be Naturally Happy?

  • First and foremost, it’s much more fun
  • It is easier and has less struggle; life moves more smoothly even with the challenges
  • It is emotionally and physically healthier
  • It is financially more abundant
  • It is freeing
  • You are more productive and successful
  • You are more resilient
  • It is anti-aging
  • You will have healthier relationships

Over the years this has been reinforced by the research that continues about happiness. We find more in Dr. Seligman’s latest book, Flourish-Visionary-Understanding-of Happiness, as well as the many “happiness” books that have popped up in the past three years, and the continuing research results that indicate happiness impacts every part of us from our cells to our finances. I love as we watch science and spirituality come together once again.

What Is the Natural Path to Happiness? PART 1

The natural path to happiness guides you to your intrinsic, inner wholeness, a feeling of expansion, openness, peace and the joy of living- a life guided by you.

You’ve had it all the time—inside of you.

Remember, you are a precious radiant light in a human body, a very special part of what makes the world a better place. Your happiness radiates to others. 

Natural Path of Strengths and Gifts

  • Discovering and using your strengths and gifts-calling forth new gifts as it is all inside of you.
  • Keeping your feet on the ground. Be centered and focused. More important than ever in our chaotic world.
  • No more need for perfectionism. We are perfectly suited being who we are for our mission here on earth.
  • Energized vs Stressed. Reprogramming our stress response and cultivating out inner mojo.

Natural Path of the Physical Being

  • Guiltless Self Nurturing-Self Care. Pay attention now or you body will take you down.
  • Positive daily rituals. Using your inner peace and guidance to navigate your day.
  • Aligning your space. Clearing and lightening up what’s around you.
  • Upgrading your brain and nervous system for the new way of being
  • Fun and Playtime. Mandatory, not a luxury! This is your rejuvenation time – making space for creative ideas.

Natural Path of Being You or Your Authentic Self

  • Use your Strengths and gifts in Adversity-Stepping out and finding your observer self.
  • Be okay with you. Really okay it doesn’t matter what _____, thinks.
  • Show your authentic self to others. Unabashedly yourself.
  • Release judgments—letting go of the stories-free to have a new perspective. 

Take one area above and choose where you want

to move and up level yourself.

  • Write an intention-putting it in writing helps focus the energy
  • Call it forth in your life
  • Remember to use questions- ask and you will receive

“I’m curious as to how I can create more fun and relaxation time in my life?”

“What will help me reprogram my stress response?”

“I’m curious about finding ways to release my judgments”

  • Pay attention to the answers

Do you open an email and find a class that seems like the perfect “answer” to your question?

Or is there a workshop in town or a book that is calling to you?

Or do you find a mediation or audio that seems to be the perfect fit to your question?

Or are you guided to be still and go inside and see what solutions are there?

Or was there a process that was helpful in the past that you would want to come back into your life now, maybe updated or just useful as it was?
