When you’re smiling you’re actually taking care of yourself.
“Actually, smiling or laughing for no reason at all is one of the best reasons to smile or laugh.
Because doing either turns wheels in the unseen, rearranges players in your life, and summons reason after reason after reason.” Grins, The Universe theuniverse@tut.com
Smiling and laughter may or may not come as easily as in the past. As we laugh, we let go of anxiety, fear, and stress. You may find yourself intuitively looking for opportunities to smile or laugh. This lightens us up and is good self-care. The body relaxes, opening to new possibilities as the mind is not focused on the stories, worries or thoughts keeping us from being fully present.
I love the quote above, and I truly believe that laughter and smiling does “turn the wheels in the unseen” as we shift our energy when we smile or watch a humorous movie.
Sometimes I find myself laughing at myself in a way that actually makes me smile and giggle. Take a moment to look or remember what makes you smile. Find a movie, a show, or a book that makes you laugh.
