Inner Family Challenge: Inner Child
The inner child challenge-Choose one or more below.
Then post a comment, share and inspire another woman to share her inner child story on the blog.
- Find something outside your comfort zone and do it in the next 7 days. Post and tell us your experience.
- Do something completely unplanned and fun, even if it’s something small, every day for the next week. How did it feel? What did you notice?
- Where can you step out of your comfort zone and think of it as an adventure instead of something scary? How did that change your experience?
- Just ask questions in the places where you’re blocked and see what answers show up.
- Reassure your inner child it is safe to venture out, she won’t get in trouble. How does that shift you now?[Tweet “Do something completely unplanned and fun every day for the next week. #innerchild”]
I can’t wait to see where these “children” are adventuring,
Bonnie
I wanted to start the ball rolling on the Inner Family Blog Challenge and be open in how I live this. While talking with my social media strategist extraordinaire Terri L (brandtalkmarketing.com) and discussing something totally unrelated I noticed a small miracle or synchronicity unfolding. Terri suggested creating a list of ideas and a timeline to support an Angel Violet’s Magic Wings Project which I had already started. When I received the list, I thought it was amazing, but I felt discouraged and an overwhelmed feeling. I didn’t have enough time to implement all the ideas before the event.
After a Matrix Energetics training, several years ago, I learned the real value and power of going into your heart, asking questions, having fun and being curious (the traits of young children). Allowing my inner child to ask questions became an adventure. Of course it was no coincidence that I had just blogged about the Inner Child a few days previously.
I let go of my idea of how I thought it should happen. I took a minute, closed my eyes and went into my heart space. What would be the best way to organize what was on the template Terri had given me? When would be an optimal time to use it with grace and ease? How else could I utilize what was on that template of ideas? What would work with optimal timing, grace and ease for me and those I will be connecting with for the events?
As soon as I got up from my desk immediate answers flooded in. Previously, I had been asking questions about my Diamond Pathways offering, Your Family Diamond. I realized that there were things in the template I could implement for The Family Diamond. I also was able to plan for the perfect timeline for the Angel Violet project by extending and revamping events with a beautiful timing in sync with the topic. I had not made a connection to that before. Most important was I was able trust the guidance I was getting that started with the Angel Violet project and shifted to the Family Diamond. You never know where the questions or the adventure will take you. Bonnie
I have been stepping outside my comfort zone lately and it has been an interesting ride. Recently I completed a year long herbalist training program and as I neared the end I began asking myself “now what?” I have this knowledge and invested time and money I need to have something to show for it. Well that was the wrong strategy. In that mindset I felt like I was moving through quicksand and not having much fun doing it! So now I am backing up and listening where my heart is leading and what is my excitement drawing me toward. Wow what a difference. No more quicksand and things are flowing more easily. What changed??? My perspective. I was so focused on the outcome and results that I forgot that I began this journey as a gift to myself. What excites me is serving my community as an herbalist. This sounds like a big and overwhelming goal right now, but I am focusing on the small steps that bring me the most joy. Who knows where it will lead. My inner child is having much more fun now 🙂
Sara, I think we are so programmed for outcomes that we have lost our inner child sense of fun, adventure and joy. It isn’t the lofty head in the clouds idealistic feeling but the joy I feel in your post about a very concrete heart desire and adventure of serving your community as an herbalist. Thank you for posting and inspiring other women on the journey. Bonnie
Just reading the options alone gives me a feeling of opening that I recognize so clearly. I look forward to playing and reporting back, beautiful Bonnie!
Awesome Col! I think right now we are in the energy of harvesting the new. We know our inner child is the portal to creative play.
The timing of this challenge is very interesting Bonnie, because I have been dialoguing with my Inner Child ((in fact my inner -everything) a great deal lately in the interest of discovering or re-discovering how to achieve the level of trust my inner child has always had with Spirit to provide for all of its needs. When I was born, I know that whatever I wanted or needed, I consulted Spirit – either directly or by way of my Higher Self or Inner Being – first. I then followed that inner guidance to whatever connection in the outer world could satisfy my need. (As the Master Teacher reminded us all, “Seek first the Kingdom and all else will be given to you.) I realize that planet earth is fascinating and intoxicating and its not surprising that I have since come to trust (almost exclusively) outside channels to provide me with security, supply and direction – and I also know those outer channels never last – they are only offer temporary solutions. So I’ve been asking my inner family of beings exactly what exercises I might do retrain my mind and heart to absolutely trust Spirit again as my first and primary Source of all supply. The answer has come in the form of seven protocols, which are literally seven retraining exercises, designed to remind me how to access my Source quickly and efficiently. Like all rehabilitation exercises, they are repetitive and depending on how ingrained my current thought patterns are, they may be lengthy, but I can see clearly how each one will work to affect the changes I require, if I work it and why it will efficiently shift the direction of my thought from outside first to inside first. I am in the process now of fleshing out the protocols, asking for inner guidance as I make corrections and adjustments in each of the protocols. When they are complete, I will begin sharing them with others who are interested in making this all important shift. As our outside world is rapidly changing in dozens of ways at once, some of the absolutes we have come to depend on will shift as well. Those who have learned that their Source lies within themselves and know how to access that Source will manage that shift much more easily. I think you and I and hundreds of other teachers, each reaching out to our own audience, are hereto clear our own path and in doing so, assist others who want to flow with the shift rather than resist it. I look forward to sharing more with you about this project in the future.

I believe this has been our collective seduction. This quote summaries it for me. We live in a world that is shifting dramatically. I believe as our world shifts, the invitation for each of us is to remember who we truly are. We know our “inner family” and the archetypes that go along with that, give us the ability to understand what our inner family needs are to grasp the deeper harmony, power and connection to Source. As we do that our life becomes healthier, happier and deeply centered from the inside out. It’s really awesome how many of us are are tapping into this idea and what supportive connections happen as a result of this exploration both internally, with each other and for our world. I would love for you to share more of your wisdom from one of your insights with your inner family members as we continue the blog challenge. Thank you for sharing and inspiring! Bonnie
